Court
Docket:
Monday August 14, 2006, we will be at a
hearing in Circuit Court for Montgomery County Courtroom #3, 9th Floor
10am (the District Court
matter will be on Wednesday the 16th) where Sandy Spring Bank is
seeking to have our case dismissed which would mean a loss without ever
having our "Day in Court," and we have asked that the matter be tried
before a Jury (which will be scheduled for some time in the future once
we are past the dismissal efforts of Sandy Spring Bank.
If there is any way you can make it, we would be greatly encouraged to
have folks there with "On-Site Prayer" and for a successful outcome of
this crucially important Hearing. The Montgomery County 6th
Judicial
Circuit Court is located in the tall Tan colored Judicial Center
Courthouse at 50 Maryland Avenue in Rockville, MD. There is ample
parking, both an open parking lot and the Municipal parking lot for the
County Office Building, also on Maryland Avenue. Here is a link
with
directions and information concerning the Courthouse; http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/mc/judicial/circuit/mcccourt.html
It is my understanding that Judge Eric M. Johnson will be handling our
case, but that could change. Here's a brief bio for Judge
Johnson; http://www.mdarchives.state.md.us/msa/mdmanual/31cc/html/msa12405.html
.
According to the on-line Circuit Court Docket found at the Internet URL
of http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/mc/judicial/circuit/docket.html
,
our hearing is to be held in Courtroom #3 located on the 9th
floor. If
anyone is interested in sharing a ride from Baltimore, please contact
either Jeanne Nollen <ONLYJEAN@comcast.net>
or Mara Herzberger
<mara@itsalife.net>
(at their request, only those whom they
personally know). Others from Virginia and PG county may wish to
commute together and enjoy conversation both ways.
Depending on how long the trial takes, it is likely we will gather at a
close-by Buffet-type Restaurant (to be announced after Court), and
assuming his schedule allows, to share a meal and brief discussion with
our brilliant attorney, Mr. Trefor Hoffmann. I will seek approval
from
the Trustee of Life Principles Trust to pay for the meal, which I feel
they will want to do.
